The Maison Strosser was founded in 1874 by Georges Nicolas Strosser, who emigrated from Alsace after the 1870 war and moved to Paris. Their traditional furniture store can still be found in the faubourg St-Antoine district, nestled among other expert carpenters and furniture makers.
At the time, the large building that today serves as the showroom was completely given over to the workshop, which sold much of its work to interior designers, decorators and shopkeepers.
The shop was run by the Strossers for several generations before another family from the same district took over the business during the 1950s. Today it is the grand-son, Louis Le Pennec, who runs the workshop.
For over a century, the shop has continued to create high-quality wooden furniture using same old-fashioned techniques of assembly and finish as the traditional French carpenters of the original shop.

Today's collections are enriched with original designs that offer a wide range of authenic regional furnishings (from a Vendéenne hosiery to a 3/4 size sideboard or simple, straw-bottomed chairs...) . The Maison Strosser have also put together a strunning range of specialist trade furniture and travel furniture, all based on original designs.
Finally, the workshop produces a collection of solid and practical furniture especially designed for the home or office. Louis Le Pennec's office furniture designs will provide your home or office with a fresh identity and, as no two homes are alike, can even be tailor-made to satisfy your individual needs and desires. |
